About This Game Lazerbait is a free arcade strategy game set in virtual reality with one simple goal: capture all the planets to build more ships and destroy your enemies! The player is presented with a god-like perspective of a system of planets. Each planet that a player owns will produce ships over time. Using the motion controllers, the player can direct their fleet of ships from planet to planet in attempt to capture as many planets as possible. The more planets a player owns, the more ships the player can produce. Eventually players can build up fleets of many hundreds of ships that lead to awesome massive space battles. The player is challenged by up to 7 A.I. characters in free-for-all style who are also working hard to capture all the planets and eliminate their enemies. The game is highly configurable allowing players to choose the game speed, map size, ship limits, number of A.I. players, and A.I. difficulty. Maps are procedurally generated at random for each game played so no two games will ever be the same. I'm hoping this is the start of bringing Armchair-Generalness to masses... but if not, thanks for sharing with your fellow Space Cadets o7. This is a great little game that really showcases how VR RTS space conquest games might function. It's simplistic - everyone is the same "race" and there is only one type of ship. The only variety is it seems like some planets can jump to others but not vice versa, but this may be a bug mascarading as a feature, I dunno. With some fleshing out this could go from an awsome tech demo game (that has pleanty of replayability!) to a genre defining game. I really hope the dev puts out a good expansion pack for a few bucks, I would be more than happy to send some $$$ his way for his efforts.. Hooked at first sight.. really solid 'war of the worlds' simple planetary expansion game.+good onboarding videos, really nice to see the gameplay explained with gameplay+solid strategy and easy to understand.. often a hard balance to hit, kudos+good use of the \u2018included\u2019 vive controller buttons to maximize engagement, grip is so often ignored.-I Would LOVE to see online multiplayer... would greatly increase the replayability.. I've only just tried this game, but I love it! Simple yet very entertaining: easy controls, easy to understand how the game is played and quite intriguing. Best of all: it's free! Must have for VR enthousiasts, especially if you like space\/strategy games!
